Two members of the immigrant gang Loyal To Familia were arrested Wednesday for a violent assault with heavy cobblestones against a police car from the Copenhagen Police.
The attack took place on the night between Saturday and Sunday at People’s Park in Nørrebro.
“As the uniformed patrol car drove by Stengade 02:15 Saturday night, the two policemen in the car were suddenly bombarded with several large cobblestones of the size of 10 x 10 cm. The four cobblestones smashed the windshield and the side window,” said deputy police inspector Lau Thygesen from the Department of Organized Crime in Copenhagen Police.
Neither of the two policemen in the car was injured in the cobblestone attack.
“However, there have previously been similar cases where colleagues were seriously injured — including a fractured skull,” adds the deputy police inspector.
