An author and terrorism expert says an American-based terrorist organization has petitioned the United Nations for his arrest for “trying to malign the peaceful religion of Al-Islam.”
Martin Mawyer’s book, Twilight in America: The Untold Story of Islamic Terrorist Training Camps Inside America, goes into great depth about the activities of a group called “Muslims of the Americas,” which has been operating Islamic guerilla warfare training camps across the United States for nearly 30 years.
“Their whole goal is to eventually wage a holy war on America,” Mawyer tells OneNewsNow. “You’ve got to understand that the young kids who are on these particular compounds have been living their whole life to fight a holy war. That’s what they’re being trained to do. That’s the message that’s been given to them.”
And the author, who is president of the Christian Action Network, explains that when his book was first released, the Islamic group asked the U.N. to have him arrested and issued a fatwa for his death.
“They say that not only should I be arrested, but they say I am promoting a war against Islam, that I’ve insulted the prophet Mohammad, that I want to bring violence against Muslims inside of America,” he relays.
“I know what they’re up to -- calling on radicalized Muslim youth in America to go do their dirty deed, which is to try to have me killed.”
Mawyer says the State Department has sounded the alarm about this group for years, calling Muslims of the Americas an Islamic group that wants to “purify Islam through violence.”
