A rally in support of Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka (Social Democrats, CSSD) is to be held in Prague on Saturday because he has decided "not to pursue a populist xenophobic policy and not to incite people against one another promoting hatred," its Facebook organisers have said.

They said he also deserves support after the recent Kalashnikov statements made by President Milos Zeman.

The organisers have invited supporters of both the left and the right and they do not conceive the event as a rally of Sobotka's political supporters.
