A member of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's AKP party in Turkey demanded that Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz apologise for comments he made on the weekend.
On Friday, Kurz warned the prime minister, who will be visiting Austria on Thursday and Friday this week, not to make divisive remarks between the Austrian and Turkish communities.
According to the Austrian newspaper "Die Presse" on the weekend, Justice and Development Party (AKP) member Metin Kueluenk said that "the Austrian foreign minister must apologise to Prime Minister [Erdogan] for his comments, which far overshot the mark."
