Newcastle's Cheick Tiote willing to wear controversial payday-loan firm's logo even though he is a Muslim Club chiefs still waiting to talk to Papiss Cisse, who has issues with Wonga's services and whether they infringe Sharia Law
Newcastle star Cheick Tiote will play in a shirt carrying the logo of controversial new sponsors Wonga next season.
Speculation had suggested the Ivory Coast international, along with his fellow Muslims in the Geordies' squad, might not be prepared to advertise the payday lender's services so as not to risk infringing Sharia Law.
But sources on Tyneside have indicated that Tiote, 27, is comfortable with the situation.
