In “The rise of inflexible progressivism” (Web, June 27) Herbert London grossly mischaracterizes the Anti-Defamation League‘s positions on both Linda Sarsour and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
We have not defended Ms. Sarsour’s positions on Israel. On the contrary, we have spoken out clearly against her anti-Israel statements. With respect to CAIR, we have never lent “support” to this organization. In fact, we have issued reports that make clear our concerns about the group’s anti-Israel agenda and the fact that it refused for many years to unequivocally condemn by name Palestinian terror organizations and Hezbollah.
