Hamilton's Catholic school board is changing the wording of its summer school dress code after years of saying no "head scarves" on its printed form.
Duraid Al-Jailawi says his wife noticed the wording Wednesday when the form was handed to her in the Grade 12 adult English class she's taking.
He says she was told she had to sign the form in agreement to the school's policies.
She brought it to the attention of the Cathedral High School, which is where she's taking the course.
Pat Daly, chair of the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board, says he was made aware of the notice and its wording Thursday.
