Jeremy Cornyn has angrily denied that he was a racist and anti-semite as his alleged links to extremists threatened to engulf his Labour leadership campaign.
Mr Corbyn has in recent weeks faced questions over his links to organisations including Hamas and the IRA as well as extremist Islamist preachers.
He claimed that he had forgotten meeting a Muslim extremist who has condoned killing British soldiers after a photograph of them together surfaced.
