Rep. Keith Ellison shot back at fellow Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann after she accused him of having ties with the Muslim Brotherhood, saying it's "clear" that "she wanted attention" and that she's trying to marginalize "a certain group of Americans."
Already facing bipartisan outrage for making the same claim about Huma Abedin — a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the wife of former Rep. Anthony Weiner — Bachmann said Thursday on Glenn Beck's radio show that Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, "has a long record of being associated with [the Council on American–Islamic Relations] and with the Muslim Brotherhood."
Ellison, a Democrat whose district borders Bachmann's, denied her claims Thursday night to CNN's Anderson Cooper and then questioned Bachmann's motives.
