A controversial Imam has been invited to speak at the University of Central Florida. The Muslim Student Association has invited Imam Siraj Wahhaj to speak at their school as part of their Islam Awareness Month but his checkered connections could overshadow the event.
Wahhaj's presence, according to the Muslim Student Association, is to dispel misconceptions about the Islamic faith.
According to our findings the Imam was named by the U.S. Attorney in New York as one of 170 unindicted co-conspirators in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Wahhaj has spoken out against the attacks on 9/11 he has also remained neutral about Osama Bin Laden and his role in the attacks.
