Yale is Chicken

A book entitled “Cartoons that Shook the World”, from Yale University Press, will not include the infamous 12 Danish newspaper cartoons that depicted the Islamic prophet Muhammad, or any other cartoons that include the image of Muhammed.

This despite the fact that the Danish cartoons led to protests across the Muslim world that resulted in over 100 deaths and included setting fire to the Danish Embassies in Syria, Lebanon and Iran, storming European buildings, and desecrating the Danish, Dutch, Norwegian and German flags in Gaza City.

Does that not count as “shaking” the world? Or was it too much of a shaking? Maybe the title should be “Cartoons that (Kinda, Sorta) Shook the Work, But Not Too Much” .

Either way, John Derbyshire says that Yale University is simply “chicken”.
