University System in California Appoints Anti-Semite to Fight Anti-Semitism [on Manzar Foroohar]

The California State University (CSU) system appointed an anti-Semite to lead the university system’s fight against intolerance and anti-Semitism.

The Academic Senate CSU (ASCSU) appointed Dr. Manzar Foroohar - a Middle East and Latin American History professor at California Polytechnic State University - to lead the Governor’s Task Force on Tolerance and Anti-Semitism, FrontPageMag reported.

Foroohar possesses a history of anti-Semitic views and delegitimizing the Jewish state. Many Jewish students who have taken her classes have felt uncomfortable being Jewish while listening to her lectures.

“I am a Jewish student, and I felt extremely uncomfortable during her discussions about the Middle East, as she presented all of the course material in ways that seemed to attack Israel,” one student wrote on Polyratings, a Website for Cal Poly students to comment on professors.

God forbid if you are Jewish or Israeli because she has it in for you,” another student wrote.

Just last year, Foroohar equated the Jewish state to the Nazis, which many around the world, including the European Union’s official definition of anti-Semitism, view as anti-Semitic.

After hearing an audience member ask why Foroohar did not invite a pro-Israel speaker to balance out an anti-Israel speaker she hosted at a campus event, she told Cal Poly’s Mustang Daily that “we are bombarded by the other side. Last week, we brought a Holocaust survivor, and nobody asked why there wasn’t a Nazi on the panel.”

Foroohar downplayed the horrors of the Holocaust and insulted Holocaust survivors by comparing a pro-Israel speaker to a Nazi war criminal.

Foroohar supports the Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions (BDS) movement as well, which aims to delegitimize the Jewish state while spreading lies about its actions.
