The Hysteria at SFSU Over Israeli Independence Day Continues

Not content with San Francisco State University (SFSU) admitting that it made a “clerical error” in categorizing Israeli Independence Day as an observed religious holiday, Professor Rabab Abdulhadi and her cohorts issued a statement calling it a “solemn day of mourning” and condemning SFSU President Leslie Wong for having “publicly welcomed Zionists onto our campus.”

The statement was presented at an Academic Senate meeting, along with a list of demands, despite the fact that SFSU’s administration had already apologized profusely, as well as promising to add Muslim holidays Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr to the list.

Regardless, Abdulhadi, who organized a protest on the matter a week ago, groused that the administration hadn’t yet issued a public apology and worse, that it took a whole week for her to received a response. If SFSU ordered an Israeli flag-burning on campus, no doubt that wouldn’t be satisfactory, either.
