MESA Moves to Remove ‘Nonpolitical’ from Bylaws

The Middle East Studies Association (MESA) furthered its descent into politicization and, ultimately, supporting the boycott of Israel after its membership voted in favor of advancing a resolution to remove the word “nonpolitical” from its bylaws. As JHU prof. Robert Freedman put it, MESA has transformed from “an academic organization to an advocacy organization.”
