I am writing as a member of the pro-Palestinian Jewish Witnesses for Peace, as a Jew, as an anti-Zionist, as an opponent of anti-Semitism which your group and its bloatedly wealthy benefactors invent and sometimes engender -- and you do it knowingly, as a former U. of Michigan student where Professor Cole is a teacher and researcher, a Ph. D., a former physics professor at CUNY and an attorney. (I add the last two items because you seem to be acolytes of “credentials,” having enlisted Alan Dershowitz, some creep NY State Senator from Queens and other racist and pro-torture advocates.)
You, and Joffe, are counting on few of your blog readers going to the whole article by Juan Cole, because a reading of it shows that everything he says is perfectly reasonable and none of it is anti-Jewish. Regarding Darfur, did you examine those pictures?
Your hatchet job on Professor Cole -- obviously an extension of your happily failing McCarthyite attempts at Columbia -- is despicable. (The March 31 NYTimes reports the committee’s rejection of your vicious charges of anti-Semitism against MPEAC.) By your Goebels-like attack on Cole and the contents of his article you show yourselves, by direct implication, to be supporters of the ultra stupid fascist David Horowitz and the unspeakable, and thankfully no longer speaking, Meir Kahane who were properly condemned by Profesor Cole.
May your failure and collapse be prompt and total.
