No new answers are given regarding the investigation into the stabbing death of a Binghamton University professor.
The University and Investigators are declining to comment on requests for further information.
46-year-old Abdulsalam Al-Zahrani is accused of stabbing and killing professor Richard Antoun Friday.
The Broome County District Attorney’s office is the lead agency in the investigation.
DA Gerald Mollen told Action News no new information is available at this time.
BU has released a statement saying it is planning a memorial service for Antoun.
The school also has not made anyone available to answer questions regarding the details of Friday’s events.
At the state level, the SUNY system offered condolences to Antoun’s family and the entire university community.
Chancellor Nancy Zimpher says Antoun’s contributions to BU and all of SUNY provided a great service by teaching and mentoring.
Those who knew Al-Zahrani said he was having financial troubles and was attempting to transfer out of the anthropology department.
He remains in custody at Broome County jail.
Al-Zahrani is charged with 2nd degree murder.
