Chambersburg’s Heefner Completes Arabic Training in California

Reg Heefner, Chambersburg, completed graduate-level Arabic training at Middlebury College’s summer intensive language program in Oakland, Calif.

Students were forbidden from using any language other than Arabic for the duration of the program.

While there, he assisted with the Arabic Oral Proficienty Exams conduted by the American Council on Teaching of Foreign Languages.

Heefner is a former adjunct assistant professor of Arabic, Chinese and Latin at Wilson College, Chambersburg, and a former Arabic instructor at the U.S. Army War College, Carlisle.
