At FrontPage Magazine, Daniel Greenfield points out that the anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism emerging from the new generation of Democratic members of Congress, such as Rep. Ilhan Omar, originated on campus. The Israel-hating “intersectional” generation has come of age and it has brought radical campus politics to the corridors of power.
Former student activists have also become today’s academics, as with UC Berkeley lecturer Hatem Bazian, whom Greenfield notes, donated to Omar’s campaign. Moreover, Bazian, who was co-founder of Students for Justice in Palestine at SFSU, “has a long history of anti-Semitism,” including “blocking a Jewish student from a spot on the Student Judicial Council.” He concludes that “Bazian’s hateful politics have now gone national via Omar’s anti-Semitism.”
