Federally-Funded Middle East Studies Centers Need Scrutiny

In 2019 the U.S. Department of Education launched an investigation of the Duke/University of North Carolina Consortium for Middle East Studies over the possible misuse of federal Title VI funds. This investigation should be expanded to other Title VI funded Middle East Studies centers, where biased scholarship and political activism have undermined the goal of enhancing U.S. national security through advanced education.
