Editor – Efraim Karsh

Efraim Karsh is editor of the Middle East Quarterly, the Forum's flagship publication, and Professor of Middle East and Mediterranean Studies at King’s College London. He has held various academic posts at Harvard and Columbia universities, the Sorbonne, the London School of Economics, the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London, the Kennan Institute for Advanced Russian Studies in Washington D.C., and the Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies at Tel-Aviv University. Mr. Karsh is the author of fifteen books, has appeared as a commentator on all the main British and American television networks, and has contributed over 100 articles to leading newspapers and magazines. Publisher – Daniel Pipes

Dr. Pipes is director of the Middle East Forum and a columnist at the New York Post and The Jerusalem Post. A former official in the departments of State and Defense, he has taught at the University of Chicago, Harvard University, and the U.S. Naval War College. The author of fourteen books, his most recent book is Miniatures: Views of Islamic and Middle Eastern Politics (Transaction Publishers, 2004). He is a frequent analyst on television and radio.

Deputy Publisher – Raymond Ibrahim

Raymond Ibrahim is deputy publisher of the Middle East Quarterly. Previously, Mr. Ibrahim worked closely with Middle East language materials, primarily Arabic, at the Near East Section of the Library of Congress. Editor/translator of The Al Qaeda Reader (Doubleday, 2007), Mr. Ibrahim is author to dozens of articles and essays dealing with radical Islam. He lectures and debates regularly, briefs agencies such as the Department of State and the Defense Intelligence Agency, and has testified before Congress. Senior Editor – Denis MacEoin

Denis MacEoin served as editor of the Middle East Quarterly in 2009-2010. He received advanced degrees from Trinity College, Dublin, and Edinburgh University, and his Ph.D. in Persian/Islamic Studies from King’s College, Cambridge. He has been a Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Newcastle University and publishes on the subject of radical Islam in the U.K. He is a member of the advisory council of the Centre for Social Cohesion, and writes a blog, A Liberal Defense of Israel. Senior Editor – Michael Rubin

Michael Rubin served as editor of the Middle East Quarterly from 2004-2009. He is a resident scholar of the American Enterprise Institute, where he researches domestic politics in Iran, Iraq, and Turkey, Kurdish society, and Arab democracy. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the Naval Postgraduate School. He formerly served as a political adviser to the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq. Dr. Rubin earned his undergraduate and doctoral degrees from Yale University. He has been a visiting lecturer at Hebrew University (Jerusalem), Universities of Sulaymani, Salahuddin, and Duhok (Iraqi Kurdistan), and Yale University.

Senior Editor – Patrick Clawson

Dr. Clawson is director for research at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy. Previously, he held positions at the National Defense University, the Foreign Policy Research Institute, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank. Dr. Clawson is the author of several books and monographs focusing on economics and the Middle East. He has written op-ed articles and testified before Congressional committees more than a dozen times.

Managing Editor – Judy Goodrobb

Ms. Goodrobb has worked as an editor and public relations professional at Drexel University, Norwich University, and the Delaware County Association for Retarded Citizens. She has been a writing instructor at Johnson State College of Vermont and the Community College of Philadelphia.
