KPBS, San Diego’s public broadcasting station, interviewed Steven Dinker, NCRC president (left) and Hassane about the award. Hassane’s status as a peacemaker has since been demolished by his response to the October 7 massacre of 1,400 Israelis by Hamas. Instead of condemning Hamas’s obvious war crimes, Hassane has accused Israel of genocide and portrayed the massacre as a legitimate act of self-defense. (YouTube screenshot)
