MEF Names Daniel Seaman as Head of its Israel Office

PHILADELPHIA – September 5, 2018 – The Middle East Forum has appointed Daniel Seaman, a former senior Israeli government official, as director of its Israel office. Mr. Seaman brings a keen understanding of the Israeli political scene, with over 35 years of high-level experience in government and media relations. He served four prime ministers as director of Israel’s Government Press Office, and also served as: deputy director general of the Ministry of Public Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs; foreign press liaison for the Israel Defense Forces; and New York attaché for the Foreign Ministry.

He will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Israel Victory Project (IVP) in Israel, working closely with members of the Knesset Israel Victory Caucus to implement IVP on the policy level, while reaching out to decision-makers, opinion-shapers, members of the defense establishment and Israeli social sectors to further the victory paradigm.

Seaman replaces Ashley Perry, who remains with the organization as an advisor.

“Danny is a great asset for IVP, the Forum, and the state of Israel,” said Forum director Gregg Roman. “He has created and implemented strategic communications programs for the government and maintains close relationships with officials and journalists around the world. He will continue to build the IVP concept in Israel.”

The Israel Victory Project holds that a Palestinian defeat is a precondition to resolving the Arab-Israeli conflict. It has been publicly endorsed by Gideon Sa’ar, a former Interior Minister who is widely seen at Netanyahu’s Likud heir. Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman, who has met with Forum officials on the topic, calls “victory … the most important value” in choosing Israel’s next army chief.
