The head of the nation’s largest Jewish civil rights organization called it “extremely disturbing” that three Democratic congressmen, including the vice-chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), attended a private dinner with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.
Democratic Reps. Keith Ellison of Minnesota, Andre Carson of Indiana and Gregory Meeks of New York in 2013 attended the private dinner, which only became public on Friday.
“Based on what we know, its extremely disturbing that Dem reps or members of any political group would attend a session hosted by hatemongers,” Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt said Monday.
