The University of Wisconsin -Madison Center for International Business Education and Research has received a $1.5 million, four-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
The Wisconsin School of Business said Thursday said the center will use the money to develop and deliver programs that strengthen the competitiveness of U.S. business. The funding is 9% more per year than the center now receives from the education department.
Some of the ways the center will use the money during the next four years include organizing: global business consulting projects for MBA students; annual study tours for faculty to Southeast Asia; and support for the teaching of Persian, Arabic, Chinese and other less-commonly taught languages.
