‘UES Mommas’ Facebook Group May Shut Down Over Book Drama: Report [on Golbarg Bashi]

A post on the group by the author of children’s book “P is for Palestine” caused members to go “ape-s–t,” the New York Post reported.

The “UES Mommas” Facebook Group — which has more than 27,000 members — is on the verge of shutting down after a post about the children’s book “P is for Palestine” cause an all-out war in the group’s comments section, the New York Post first reported.

The books’ author Golbarg Bashi posted in the group, calling her book an “educational alphabet book about the disputed territory,” the Post reported.

“It immediately went ape-s–t. People were posting about it and calling each other anti-Israel and anti-Muslim,” a member of the Facebook group told the New York Post anonymously.

The mommas were especially incensed by the section of the book “I is for Intifada,” the Post reported. Group moderators have banned new posts and are meeting with Facebook to discuss solutions, which may including a permanent shutdown.
