Rutgers Univ Professor: ‘The U.S. Is More Brutal Than ISIS’ [on Deepa Kumar]

A Rutgers University professor sparked outrage by claiming in a tweet that the United States is more brutal than ISIS.

Deepa Kumar’s tweet from March began to make headlines after the website SoCawlege pointed it out last week.

Kumar is a professor of media studies and author of a book called “Islamophobia and the Politics of Empire.”

New Jersey’s largest university made headlines last year after former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice canceled her commencement speech.

Rice’s decision came after Rutgers students held protests due to Rice’s role in the Iraq War.

On “Fox and Friends,” counter-terrorism expert Dr. Sebastian Gorka lamented the latest example of what has happened to American higher education over the last 30 years.

Gorka said some on the left want to “demolish the history of America and what they’ve done for other people in the last 100 years.”

He said Kumar has also expressed the view that Hamas should not be considered a terrorist group.

Gorka described her as an “ideologically driven individual that is shaping young minds,” noting that this type of professor has become “par for the course today in liberal universities across America.”
