Professor Charged in Paris Bombing Teaching at Carleton [on Hassan Diab]

A professor accused of playing a role in the 1980 bombing of a Paris synagogue is teaching at Carleton University.

Hassan Diab is teaching a part-time introduction to sociology summer course two days a week until the middle of August.

Diab is expected to go before a judge in January to decide if he should be extradited to France to face allegations he participated in the 1980 bombing that killed four people.

The 55-year-old Diab has taught a course at Carleton before.

He is under strict bail conditions, including that he be monitored with a GPS ankle bracelet and cannot leave the house unless he is accompanied by one of five individuals.
