Capitulation at Yale, cont’d

Martin Kramer and Christopher Hitchens have weighed in on the controversy. Also, unless I’ve missed it — and I just double-checked — the Times has still not published the letter from Prof. Sheila Blair of Norma Jean Calderwood University in which she maintains that she objected to the purge of depictions of Mohammed from the book (the uncorrected Timesreport still says the experts consulted by Yale were “unanimous” in recommending against publication).

UPDATE: My friend Prof. Matt Franck informs me that I (and the Guardian article I relied on) have mistaken Prof. Blair’s chair for her school. She is actually the Norma Jean Calderwood University Professor of Fine Arts at Boston College. How you get all that on a door, I don’t know, but my apologies.
