Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh is taking Israel by storm.
Tel Aviv – July 22, 2019 – The Middle East Forum's Israel office has launched a campaign to coincide with the country's election season.
Three massive billboards at major intersections and across from the Defense Ministry in Tel Aviv depict Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on the beach in a bathing suit, with suitcases of cash behind him, thanking Israel for its weak stand against Hamas. The cash alludes to the large sums that Israel allows the Qatari Government to hand out in Gaza.
"'Thank you, Israel! I love you, Ismail.' Enough being scared. Demand victory for Israel."
The billboards raise pressure on Israel's government and security establishment to end the policy of appeasement and instead adopt Israel Victory as the goal. Each billboard carries the slogan: "Enough being scared. Demand victory for Israel."
The billboards begin a campaign that includes commissioned research and polls, events, debates, conferences, rallies, and other activities to capture the attention of Israelis and convince them to demand Israel Victory in the forthcoming elections.
The Israeli Victory Project, founded in 2017, includes caucuses in the Knesset, Israel's parliament, and in the U.S. Congress, with members from across the political spectrum.
Daniel Pipes, MEF president and the originator of the Israel Victory concept, explains: "Victory means imposing one's will on the enemy; history teaches that conflicts end when one side gives up. The Palestinian-Israeli conflict will end only when Palestinians realize they cannot achieve their goal of eliminating the Jewish state of Israel."
Gregg Roman, the Forum's director who is overseeing the campaign, adds: "Since Oslo, Israel has forgotten how to win. It allows suitcases of cash to go to jihadis; in return, Israeli children must flee to bomb shelters. Our campaign speaks to the Israeli public that is fed up with 'conflict management' and 'mowing the lawn.'"
The Middle East Forum promotes American interests and protects Western civilization from Islamism through a unique combination of original ideas, effective activism, and funding allies.
