Ziad K. Abdelnour, a New York-based financier and venture capitalist, is the founder and president of the United States Committee for a Free Lebanon (USCFL), an advocacy organization which established Middle East Intelligence Bulletin in 1999. Abdelnour was co-chair of the Lebanon Study Group, which produced a report entitled Ending Syria's Occupation of Lebanon: The U.S. Role. During his career on Wall Street, Abdelnour has been involved in transactions representing approximately $30 billion in value and has personally raised over $3.5 billion in privately placed debt and equity financing for dozens of companies worldwide involved in leveraged buyout, acquisition financing, growth financing and corporate restructuring. He is a regular panelist and speaker on private equity and venture capital topics at industry conferences nationwide.
