The former president of the CD, Joëlle Milquet, affirmed on Wednesday the necessity of a consensus with the Jewish and Muslim communities in the debate on the prohibition of the slaughter of animals without stunning, on the eve of a meeting in the Walloon parliament.

The Conference of Presidents of the Walloon Parliament must decide on Thursday whether it will allow the Environment Committee to put forward a proposal for a decree introducing a ban on slaughter without stunning next week, with certain adjustments for ritual slaughter.
