An appeals court will hear oral arguments Tuesday evening on whether to restore President Trump's executive action on immigration and refugees.
The hearing was announced on Monday evening, around the same time the Trump administration filed legal briefs with the San Francisco-based 9th Circuit Court of Appeals to overturn a federal judge's decision to halt the order blocking entry to the U.S. of refugees and citizens from seven mostly Muslim countries.
The appeals court will hear arguments on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. ET, with each side getting 30 minutes of argument time conducted over the phone. The hearing will be live audio streamed on the court's public website. Initially, the court said a recording of the call would be made public after the hearing.
