Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson on Sunday slammed presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's plan to ban Muslims from entering the U.S.

"A ban, immigration policy based on religion is unwise and counterproductive, frankly," Johnson said on "Fox News Sunday."

He said the U.S. needs to monitor the travel of suspicious people and consider the prospect of self-radicalization.
