Disgraced former mayor Lutfur Rahman will address a rally on Thursday, a week after a High Court judgment found he had committed electoral fraud.
Rahman, who was elected for a second term as mayor of Tower Hamlets in May 2014, was stripped of office on Thursday last week after a lengthy High Court trial that alleged he and his right-hand man had falsified postal votes and placed undue pressure on Muslim voters.
Yesterday he announced via his website - which still bears the name Mayor Lutfur Rahman even though Rahman is no longer mayor - that he would be appealing Judge Richard Mawrey's finding, something Ken Livingstone has publicly urged him to do.
