Teaching unions have demanded a full review of the Government's academies programme as Birmingham City Council continues to investigate an alleged Islamic takeover plot at city schools.
Ofsted staged surprise visits at two more schools this week following the emergence of a document claiming fundamentalists were behind dirty trick campaigns to oust non-Muslim staff.
Inspectors turned up unannounced at Nansen Primary School, Saltley, and Golden Hillock School, Sparkhill, on Wednesday.
