Italian Lower House Speaker Laura Boldrini on Friday called for "no violence in the name of God" during an event against terrorism organized at the grand mosque in Rome by Italy's Islamic cultural center.

"ISIS isn't just a threat for the West, it is a threat for the whole world, but mostly for the Muslim world", said the House speaker, stressing that the main targets of Islamic terror are "Muslim civilians".

Islamic civilians are hurt "in their souls" because they are used as justification for violence in the name of Islam, she said.
