David Cameron has said that he will review halal food labelling if supermarkets and restaurants fail to improve transparency.
The Prime Minister insisted that food retailers can "achieve transparency" without having a "full-on national labelling scheme".
However, he said that he is prepared to "review the situation in a few months time" if information is not being given to customers.
