Outgoing Community Relations Commission chairman Vic Alhadeff has defiantly stood by his defence of Israel's attacks on Gaza which forced his resignation and cast doubt on the government's handling of the controversy.
Mr Alhadeff, who is also chief executive of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, quit the commission on Sunday, two weeks after he sent an email accusing Palestinian militants of war crimes and said "all options are on the table" in Israel's defence of its citizens.
The comments caused deep ructions between Sydney's Jewish and Muslim groups. On Sunday Mr Alhadeff announced "with considerable regret" that he was resigning from his community relations role.
