Plans for a controversial 4,000 plot Muslim cemetery in a tiny Solihull village have been thrown out.

The decision was immediately branded"Islamaphobic" by some members of the local Muslim community.

The graveyard scheme in Catherine-de-Barnes, in Solihull, was rejected by planners with concerns it was inappropriate development within the greenbelt and fears it would contaminate local water sources and increase traffic.
