A former school principal accused of fraud has spoken for the first time since being ambushed and attacked near his lawyer's office last week.

Anwar Sayed, 51, said yesterday that he was still traumatised but recovering physically after being assaulted while sitting in his car on Friday.

He claimed two men in a vehicle forced his car to the side of a Leeming road about 9am and one attacked while the other waited to make the getaway.
