The former assistant headteacher of a Birmingham school at the centre of the so-called Trojan Horse scandal has lavished praise on a colleague who stands accused of professional misconduct.
Former Park View Academy assistant headteacher Lee Donaghy described the Alum Rock school's previous maths teacher Wakass Haruf as "one of the most polite, respectful members of staff that I had the pleasure to work with".
Mr Haruf is accused by the National College for Teaching & Leadership (NCTL) of agreeing with others to the inclusion of an undue amount of religion on the eduction of pupils at both Park View and Golden Hillock School. He was seconded to Golden Hillock in Sparkhill for a spell in 2013 to teach maths.
