A review of the Islamic School of South Australia has been ordered by the State Government following weeks of complaints by parents.
Several protests have been held at the Croydon school, with parents claiming mismanagement by the school board had resulted in the sacking of key staff and the decline of academic standards.
It was also condemned by a senior group of imans, who labelled the school's actions in removing a moderate Muslim teacher as "oppressive and irresponsible".
