A Binghamton University graduate student charged with stabbing a professor to death in December will go on trial in February.
A new trial date for Abdulsalam al-Zahrani has been scheduled for Feb. 22 in Broome County Court. However, the new date is tentative, said Broome County District Attorney Gerald F. Mollen. A trial date had earlier been set for Jan. 18.
Al-Zahrani was indicted Jan. 22 on one felony count of second-degree murder. He's accused of stabbing Richard Antoun, an emeritus professor of anthropology, to death on Dec. 4 in Science Building 1 on the BU campus.
