Bill Lynn will be Deputy Secretary of Defense, rather than Obama campaign defense issues chief Richard Danzig. Brian McKeon, a longtime aide to Biden, will be deputy national security adviser to the vice president. It is a shame that Obama passed over Rep. Jane Harman, a respected expert on intelligence, in favor of Leon Panetta, who has much less experience in the field, to head the CIA.
